Day 1

Bagdogra to Phuentsholing

The Gateway to Bhutan

Travel

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport and drive to Phuentsholing via a scenic route through lush tea plantations and serene national parks.

Meet & greet

Meet our team at the Jaigaon office, then transfer to Phuentsholing and check in to your hotel.

Evening

Explore Phuentsholing's monasteries, parks and lively nightlife — one of the safest towns in Bhutan.

Day 2

Phuentsholing to Thimphu

Scenic mountain drive

Morning

After breakfast, complete the immigration formalities and begin the drive to Thimphu.

En route

Stop at Kharbandi Gumpa, Chukha Waterfall, Chukha Dam and the Dharma Kaya Stupas in Gedu.

Lunch

Enjoy lunch on the way; check in to your hotel in Thimphu and relax.

Day 3

Thimphu to Punakha & back

Day trip across Dochula Pass

Morning

After breakfast, drive to Punakha with stops at Dochula Pass and the Punakha Suspension Bridge.

Punakha

Visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong at the confluence of two rivers and the Two Rivers viewpoint.

Optional

River rafting and a riverside lunch on the Mo Chhu.

Evening

Drive back to Thimphu for your overnight stay.

Day 4

Thimphu Sightseeing → Paro

Capital highlights, then on to Paro

Stop at Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge — a historic iron-chain bridge.

Evening

Check in at Paro and explore the local market and Paro's nightlife.

Drive back down to Phuentsholing for your overnight stay.

After breakfast, cross back into India and transfer to Bagdogra Airport for your onward flight.

Essentials

Before you pack.

  • Carry your original Passport or Voter ID — Aadhar Card is not accepted. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months.
  • For children, carry the original birth certificate. Age 1–4: no charge. Age 5–11: ₹14,000 per head.
  • Only original documents are valid — printed or downloaded copies are not allowed.
  • Pack winter clothes, hiking shoes, a day backpack, a reusable water bottle, slippers and personal medication.
  • Avoid small sachets of shampoo, soap, etc. Carry plastic packets back with you until the end of the trip.
  • Respect Bhutanese culture and lifestyle. Take photographs with permission.
